My name’s Jamie Murphy and I’m the Photo Manager for Pharmacy First Plus. Not many people are aware of what my role as Photo Manager is or what we do in the Photo Lab. It’s pretty wide and varied, not just restricted to just printing photo’s, so I am starting this blog to explain what I do, what we can do for you and also to impart some knowledge, hints and tips to help you with your photographic and printing needs. |
First, a little about me; I have always had a love for photography and the arts in general. Wanting a career in the photography industry I completed a BA in Visual Arts at Waterford IT with photography, video and painting being my main disciplines. In addition to this I also continued my studies and completed my Master Degree also at WIT. Throughout my training much of my focus was photo editing and restoration, computer manipulated images and graphic design. Having exhibited my work and won a few awards for some of my photo images, coupled with a number of years experience working in the photo industry, I’d like to think of these as my stronger attributes. I enjoy what I do and love to help people with their own printing and photography projects. Anyway, enough about me and more about what the team and I can do for you:
So yes, we print photos. All shapes and sizes, standard and custom, glossy or matte, from passport size and smaller to A1 size and even bigger, and we pride ourselves on these being of the highest professional standard and quality. But that’s not all.
Our services cover a wide range of photography and printing solutions. We design and make personalised photo gifts and corporate merchandise. Put a photo, personal message, or company logo on a huge range of different gift products such as mugs, t-shirts, keyrings, phone covers, pens, mousepads, anything you can think of. We restore and Photoshop photographs, rejuvenating your old photos or even creating photos that never even existed, all expertly carried out in store. We also provide a print and design service for companies, clubs and societies e.g. posters, business cards, indoor and outdoor signs, flags and much more for both business and personal orders. We can do almost anything you can think of in the realm of printing and photography just ask!
Most importantly what we strive to provide is highly personal and professional service. The photo centre staff are always on hand to advise, impart their expertise and help you in your printing and photography needs.
